When & Where

The wedding will be divided in 3 parts: the ceremony, a small reception and the party.

This is the information regarding the venue.

Defranca Alojamiento Boutique

Carretera a Colotlán Km 20.2 Colotlán
45200 Zapopan, Jal., Mexico

For your own safety and comfort, we have hired a Bus that will transport our guests from Chedraui Vallarta GDL to Defranca and back. Please be aware that there are some parking spots in case you want to leave your car and pick it up after the party. This is the transport schedule:

From Chedraui Vallarta GDL to Defranca: 3:00 PM
From Defranca back to Chedraui Vallarta GDL: 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM

We kindly ask you to be on time. We would also like to mention that the road to the venue is not so good, so please don’t drink and drive.

Note: Because of the venue’s location, we kindly ask you NOT to bring any children. Defranca is located at the top of a cliff with no children security measures. Due to the current COVID restrictions, we kindly ask you to keep your distance and wear your face mask properly. A negative COVID test might also be required in case the current wave of infections worsens.

Join us at 6:00 PM at the wedding ceremony where we will officially join our lives together. Please be on time!

Join us at 8:00 PM at our wedding reception following the ceremony. Enjoy some delicious hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, dessert, and of course the opportunity to sing and dance together.

Join us at 9:30 PM for the final part of the event. Let us celebrate like when we were young and dance until late at night. There will be plenty of food and tequila for those looking for a real Mexican evening!

About Guadalajara

Guadalajara is the second biggest city in Mexico with 5.2 million persons. The city exudes a distinctly European atmosphere, with wide tree-lined boulevards, leafy plazas, Spanish-influenced architecture, and sidewalks humming with activity. Guadalajara is famous for its tequila but is also known as a center of mariachi music and a stronghold of Charreadas (the Mexican version of the rodeo). It is also known as the “Silicon Valley of Mexico” because of all the tech companies that invest in the region. Because of its location, you can easily get to the beach on a 4hr drive or 1hr flight, to Mexico City or Monterrey on a 1hr flight, and to Tequila (yes, it is a town) on a 45min drive.

If you are coming from abroad and are wondering what are the best places to go to before or after the wedding, what are the best restaurants, bars, and clubs, or simply want to get ideas for your next trip, don’t forget to check out the Bimble page we’ve set up for you. It includes some of our recommendations on things to visit in Guadalajara as well as some cool spots, natural reserves, and cities around Mexico.

About the Wedding

With our wedding, we are trying to depict what a typical Sunday inside a small Mexican town looks like. All the details, from the venue to the food and to the music, have been thought around that theme. At our wedding, you will be able to eat typical Mexican food, snack, and deserts, drink real Mexican cocktails, sing to traditional Mariachi, and of course dance like a true Mexican. We hope you enjoy it!

Due to the fact that we are not able to take a lot of stuff back to Berlin, there will NOT be a wedding list. If you would like to support us with our honeymoon trip, please feel free to donate to the GoFundMe pool that we’ve set up for you. We thank you in advance!
